Monroe Police

MONROE — On Aug. 7:

•  No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 9:33 a.m. on 11th Street at 13th Avenue. Scarlett F. Dornbrook, 39, McFarland, was traveling east on 11th street. After stopping at the stop sign, Dornbrook stuck a vehicle that was traveling north on 13th Avenue. Dornbrook’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The other vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Dornbrook was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign and released pending court. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Aug. 7:

•  No injuries were reported in an animal vs. vehicle accident at 5:55 a.m.  in the N1100 block of My Hope Road in Spring Grove. Ryan W. Kapke, 21, Brodhead, was northbound when he struck aster in the road. Kapke was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. The steer was injured but not killed. The vehicle sustained sever damage and was towed from the scene. Kapke was cited for operating after suspension and was released pending court.

•  No injuries were reported in a one vehicle crash at 4:13 p.m. Michelle E. LeBlanc, 29, Dekalb, Illinois, was westbound on the W8700 block of Sawmill Road in York when she attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway. LeBlanc’s vehicle entered the ditch and then struck a fence. LeBlanc was wearing her seat belt and air bags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed back to the road then driven from the scene.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Aug 3:

•  No injuries were reported in a minor two-vehicle accident at 6:22 p.m. on County W in White Oak Springs Township. 

On Aug 4: 

•  Minor injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 7:13 a.m. on Wis. 78 in Blanchard Township. Michael A. Emberson, 26, Monticello, was travelling when his vehicle veered toward the ditch. Emberson overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the centerline and strike a stone embankment. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed. Argyle EMS, Blanchardville EMS, Green county EMS and Blanchardville Fire assisted. 

•  Minor injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 1:41 p.m. on County F in Darlington Township. Diane M. Wensel, 69, Madison, was travelling on County F when her vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was towed. Rural Medical and Darlington Fire assisted. 

•  No injuries were reported during a rollover crash at 6:48 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Darlington. Victor Velasco-Medel, 31, had been travelling on Wis. 81 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over. As a result, Velasco-Medel was arrested for operating while intoxicated – (2nd offense) and operating after revocation. He was also cited for no insurance and failure to maintain control. Velasco-Medel was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released to a responsible party. Belmont EMS and Belmont Fire assisted. 

•  Justin M. Paulson, 35, Blanchardville, was uninjured in a rollover crash on County G in Argyle. Deputies responded to the scene at 11:19 p.m. Paulson had been travelling on County G when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll and land to rest on its side. As a result, Paulson was cited for operating while intoxicated – (first offense) and failure to maintain control. Argyle EMS, Argyle Fire, and Argyle Police Department assisted.

On Aug 5:

•  No injuries were reported when Megan E. Kammerud, 35, Darlington, struck a deer at 7:55 p.m. on County F in Blanchard Township. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

On Aug. 7:

•  No injuries were reported in an animal vs. vehicle accident at 7:52 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township. Jeanette H. Heins’, 62, Mineral Point, vehicle sustained minor damage.

On Aug. 8:

•  No injuries were reported when Patricia A. Tuescher, 63, Darlington, struck a deer at 5:27 p.m. on Tish Road in Argyle Township. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
