GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10 p.m. Thursday on St. John Road near Wisconsin 104 in the Town of Decatur. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Brandan J. Strang, 25, of Brodhead, was westbound on St. John Road when he reported that he saw a deer run onto the roadway. Strang swerved to avoid the deer and struck a mailbox owned by Brian H. Chapman, 48, Brodhead. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene. Strang was cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license. He was released pending court.

• A vehicle driven by Arlene L. Goecks, 64, rural Blanchardville, was westbound when a deer collided with her vehicle at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday in the W6400 block of Wis. 39, in the Town of New Glarus. The vehicle received very minor damage. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - Charles R. Baxter, 49, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday on Wis. 23 in Darlington township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• David R. Ritchie, 48, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Wis. 81 in Lamont township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
