NEW GLARUS - On Wednesday, police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a vehicle in a ditch on County H.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Wednesday:

• No injuries were reported after Dustin K. Allendorf, 28, Apple River, Illinois, struck a deer in the N9500 block of County D, Town of Exeter.

• No injuries were reported at 3:08 p.m. after Brandon M. Anthony, 22, Machesney, Illinois, rear-ended the vehicle of Benjamin C. Knight, 22, Lake in the Hills, Illinois, who had stopped to avoid the scene of an earlier collision in the W1100 block of Wis. 11. Anthony reported he could not stop in time due to his vehicle hydroplaning. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

On Thursday:

• A driver and his passengers were injured at 1:42 a.m. after one of the tires of a vehicle driven by Paul J. Heimann, 72, Juda, blew out, causing Heimann to lose control of the vehicle, enter a ditch and strike a tree in the W2200 block of Greenbush Road, Town of Decatur. Heimann and his passengers - Maylee J. Brauer, 12, and Royce J. Brauer, 13, both of Juda - were injured and transported to the Monroe Clinic. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• A driver was injured at 11:05 a.m. after Leona A. Hornick, 78, Monticello, slid on gravel in the N5900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monticello, and entered a ditch. Hornick was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed.

• A driver and passenger were injured at 4:36 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Golf Course Road and Brown Deer Road, Town of Decatur. Paul D. Schilling, 74, Brodhead, struck the vehicle of Gary A. Schupbach, 74, Brodhead, who was making a left turn at the intersection. Schilling and his passenger, Helen B. Schilling, 71, Brodhead, were injured and transported to a local hospital. Schupbach was uninjured. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

On Friday:

• No injuries were reported after Sally J. Toepfer, 67, Apple River, Illinois, struck a deer at the intersection of Wis. 69 and County NN, Town of New Glarus.

• No injuries were reported after Bradley J. Harp-strite, 44, Monroe, struck a deer in the N1900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno.

• A driver was injured at 3:56 p.m. after Hunter J. Tierman, 18, New Glarus, lost control of his vehicle in the W7000 block of County H, Town of New Glarus, and struck an embankment, overturning. Tierman was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.

On Saturday, no injuries were reported after Mary S. Way, 59, New Glarus, struck a bridge while swerving to avoid a deer on Hefty Road, Town of Washington. Way's vehicle sustained severe damage and was driven from the scene.
