Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Tyler A. Whitehead, 23, Brodhead, reported no injuries after he collided with a deer at 5:01 a.m. Sunday, June 24, on Wisconsin 104 near Elmer Road in the Town of Brooklyn. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed.

- Emma Wenger, 83, reported no injuries in a car vs. deer crash that occurred around 8:20 a.m. Sunday, June 24, on Wisconsin 81 west of Hiawatha Road in the Town of Jordan. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the driver's side headlight area. Wenger drove the vehicle from the scene.

- Kyl C. Klug, 18, Evansville, and passenger Hailee A. Scheidegger, 15, Juda, were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 104 south of Atkinson Road in the Town of Decatur at 9:19 p.m. Sunday, June 24, when two deer entered the road and collided with Klug's vehicle. Klug declined medical treatment. Scheidegger was transported by Brodhead EMS. The Albany Fire Department also responded to the scene. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on County KK in the Town of Gratiot at 12:10 a.m. Friday, June 22. William O. Naese, 46, Stockton, Ill., told deputies he fell asleep and the 1999 Mercury he was driving veered across the road and struck a utility pole in the opposite ditch. The car was moderately damaged and towed.

- Deputies are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Gratiot, reported at 7:10 a.m. Friday, June 22. An unknown vehicle was southbound when it crossed the road and entered the ditch, then traveled across a private driveway and hit a fence and an advertising sign before continuing southbound on Wisconsin 78.

- Tonya M. Knapp, 30, Gratiot, reported no injuries and moderate vehicle damage at 8:12 a.m. Friday, June 22, after she hit a deer on County K in the Town of Gratiot.

- Linze M. Helley, 28, Albany, was transported with injuries by Rural Medical Ambulance to the Monroe Clinic after deputies responded at 9:25 a.m. Friday, June 22, to a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont. Helley lost control of her 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier on a curve, and the car veered into the opposite ditch before coming to a rest in a soybean field.

- Braxton L. Warner, 22, Aurora, Ill., and his passenger Andru A. Ubert, 21, Peoria, Ariz., reported no injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Gratiot at 6:34 a.m. Saturday, June 23, after Warner failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the road, hitting an embankment. The 1998 Jeep Cherokee Warner was driving was moderately damaged and towed.

- Robert D. Stephens, 55, Platteville, reported no injuries and moderate vehicle damage at 9:04 p.m. Saturday, June 23, after he hit a deer on Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Weston H. Ritchie, 16, Darlington, reported no injuries and moderate vehicle damage at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, June 24, after he hit a raccoon on Roller Coaster Road in the Town of Darlington.

- Casey J. Stanton, 32, Darlington, reported no injuries after a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Wildcat Road in the Town of Darlington at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 24. Stanton was located at a nearby residence, where he told the deputy he lost control of the 2001 Oldsmobile. The car was moderately damaged and towed.

- No injuries were reported at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, June 24, after a 2007 Dodge truck driven by Michael F. Deutsch, 48, Livingston, caught fire as he was traveling eastbound on Hickory Drive in Belmont. The Platteville Fire Department was also alerted to the scene. The truck was extensively damaged and towed.

- Jamie L. Wilson, 28, Darlington, reported no injuries and moderate vehicle damage at 10:59 p.m. Sunday, June 24, after he hit a raccoon on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.
