Monroe Police

MONROE - Police were dispatched to an accident in the parking lot of Monroe Power Sports, 2820 County DR, at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 19. David J. Stauffacher, 65, Monroe, was backing a vehicle in the parking lot when he hit a pedestrian, Shirley Langford Stauffacher, 62, Monroe. She was taken by ambulance to Monroe Clinic for treatment of her injuries.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, June 19:

• Jason M. Borth, 50, Monroe, was backing up a utility truck at 9:59 a.m. in a parking lot at 87 1st St., New Glarus, when he hit a legally parked New Glarus Police squad car. Borth was uninjured, and the utility truck was undamaged. The unoccupied squad sustained minor damage.

• Troy A. Gorr, 17, rural Monroe, was uninjured in an accident reported at 2:39 p.m. in Jefferson Township. He was driving a truck northbound on Freeport Road when he turned onto Theiler Road and the attached goose-neck trailer loaded with a skid steer disconnected from the truck. The safety chains broke and the trailer went into the ditch, where it overturned and spilled its load. The truck and trailer were moderately damaged and driven from the scene. The skid steer was severely damaged and removed from the scene by an implement dealer.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, June 19:

• Craig A. Donar, 36, Cuba City, reported at 6:03 a.m. that he hit a deer on South Galena Road in Elk Grove Township.

• William W. Arndt-Carmody, 27, was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for treatment of the extensive injuries he sustained in a rollover accident reported at 8:12 p.m. in Seymour Township. His three male passengers, ages 16, 17 and 17, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were also taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital. Preliminary investigation shows Arndt-Carmody was eastbound on Holland Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The Darlington Fire Department and ambulances from Rural Medical and Belmont assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
