NEW GLARUS - On Feb. 8:

• No injuries were reported during a crash at 11:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. A pickup truck towing a cattle trailer operated by James H. Siedschlag, 64, Monroe, was traveling southbound on Wis. 69. The cattle trailer had detached from the pickup truck and crossed the northbound lane of traffic before entering the ditch on the east side of Wis. 69. The cattle trailer then struck and damaged an advertisement sign.

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a single-vehicle versus sign post crash at 7:40 a.m. Feb. 9 on the east bound off ramp from Wis. 11 to 6th Avenue West.Dawn L. Friedli, 52, South Wayne, was driving southbound when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a sign post. Friedli was cited for inattentive driving and released pending a court appearance.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Feb. 9:

• No injuries were reported when a hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:48 a.m. in the N6800 block of Wis. 105 in Albany Township. A southbound garbage truck was side swiped by a northbound truck. The northbound truck then fled the scene. The garbage truck was operated by Jeffrey J. Pagel, 48, Waunakee. The garbage truck was owned by Pellitteri Waste Systems Inc., Monona. The garbage truck sustained damage to its left front side view mirror and was driven from the scene. The offending vehicle was described as a white utility or "work truck" type vehicle, with driver side damage. No other information could be obtained. Case is pending further information.

On Feb. 11:

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 3:58 a.m. at the intersection of Wis. 92 and County E in the Town of Brooklyn. Steven D. Elliott, 35, Albany, was northbound on County E when he failed to stop at the stop sign and went through the intersection and collided with the ditch. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the ditch.

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 7:21 p.m. in the W5300 block of Peerless Road in New Glarus. Zachary S. Hayes, 18, Belleville, was eastbound on Peerless Road when he failed to negotiate a curve due to the snow-covered road. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck a large rock. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.
