Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Friday in the W1400 block of Giese Road in Spring Grove Township. Deputies report Jacob R. Boegli, 17, Juda, was eastbound when he lost control and entered the north ditch. The vehicle overturned three times. Jacob was transported by Monroe EMS to Monroe Clinic Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle received severe damages and was towed from the scene. Citations in the crash are pending. Brodhead Fire Department also responded.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday on Wis. 59 near Monroe Sylvester Road in the Town of Sylvester. Deputies report Emily A. Schwarzenberger, 17, Monroe, was eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the frost-covered road. The vehicle entered the south ditch and overturned onto its roof. Schwarzenberger declined medical attention. The vehicle received minor damage and was towed. Schwarzenberger was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt and released pending court. Monroe Fire and EMS also responded.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 5 a.m. Sunday on County CC near Vista Lane in the Town of Exeter. Deputies report Brandon B. Hendrickson, 34, Monticello, was southbound on County CC when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and entered the east ditch. The vehicle traveled into a field where it collided with a fence. Hendrickson then left the scene and did not report the crash. The vehicle received minor damages and was towed from the scene. Hendrickson was cited for operating left of center and failure to notify police of a crash.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6 p.m. Sunday in Wis. 81 in the Town of Elk Grove. Deputies report Marco C. Rodriguez, 45, Darlington, was southbound on Wis. 126 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Ian R. Clark, 25, Platteville. Jessica F. Sandry, 25, Browntown, and Guillermo Jimenez, 45, Darlington, passengers in the separate vehicle were also injured. Both vehicles received damage and were towed from the scene. Rodriguez was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without a valid driver's license. Wisconsin State Patrol, Cuba City Ambulance, Belmont Ambulance, Belmont Fire Department and Platteville Ambulance assisted.

- No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at about 10:15 a.m. Saturday on N. Iowa Street in the City of Shullsburg. Deputies report Holly E. White, 50, Shullsburg, was southbound when Robert L. Edge, 68, Shullsburg, backed out of a loading dock area on the north side of the Shullsburg Post Office and struck the White vehicle. Both vehicles received damage and were driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:45 p.m. Friday on Wis. 78 near County W. Deputies report Steven E. Mumm, 26, Madison, was northbound when he lost control and slid sideways onto County W. The vehicle exited the roadway north on County W and struck a snow bank. The vehicle received moderate damage, was towed from the ditch and was driven from the scene.

- No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday on County G. Deputies report Jeremy S. Dammen, 28, Argyle, was west bound when he attempted to navigate a curve and lost control on the snow and ice-covered roadway. The load of hay he was pulling shifted and overturned the trailer, owned by Stephen E. Dammen, Argyle.

- Emily M. Salathe, 17, Darlington, struck a dog at about 7 p.m. Feb. 7 on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington. The vehicle received moderate damage.

- Gary L. Bredeson, 56, Blanchardville, reported striking a deer at about 12:45 a.m. Friday on County F in the Town of Blanchard.

- A deputy assisted Wis. DNR authorities with a snowmobile accident at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday on the Cheese County Trail in the Town of Willow Springs. Rural Medical assisted at the scene.
