Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Friday:

• A driver was injured and arrested for operating under the influence during a one-vehicle crash at 11:26 p.m. in the W5200 block of County W in New Glarus. Mennen D. Borucki, 46, New Glarus, was traveling eastbound on County W when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch. The vehicle then struck a power pole and rolled at least once. Borucki then left the scene and was located later at his residence. Borucki reportedly swerved to miss a vehicle parked on the road and was the only occupant. He received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Borucki was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle while under the influence, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and non-registration of a vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed due to disabling damage. Borucki was released with a mandatory court date.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 8:57 a.m. on County P in Monticello Township. Hailey M. Truman, 20, Freeport, was traveling north on County P when the right tire of her 2004 Buick went off onto the side of the roadway. She then attempted to gain control but overcorrected, causing her to overturn. Truman's Buick received moderate damage and was towed.

• No injuries were reported when Mercedes M. Meyer, 27, Gratiot, struck a deer at 5:01 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township. Meyer's 2015 Ford sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported when Jedidiah J. Smith, 35, Monroe, struck a deer at 5:10 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township. Smith's 2007 Infiniti sustained minor damage. 

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported when Sandy J. Seffrood, 45, South Wayne, struck a deer at 7:11 p.m. on County D in Wiota Township. Seffrood's 2010 Ford sustained minor damage.

• No injuries were reported when Jason T. Jean, 33, Darlington, struck a deer at 11:32 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township. Jean's 2016 Ford received minor damage.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Nov. 28:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 9:35 p.m. for a car versus deer crash on Wis. 69 south of Exeter Crossing.

On Friday:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a one-vehicle rollover crash versus power pole in the W5200 block of County W. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. This incident resulted in an extended power outage for residents east and north of the village.
