Rosalie A. "Rowdy" Williams

Rosalie A. "Rowdy" Williams age 73 of Janesville, WI, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, at Mercy Health System in Janesville. She was born January 30, 1938 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Burnette and Grace (Burklow) Painter. Rosalie graduated from Monroe High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Harold Williams on August 15, 1959 at Monroe United Methodist Church in Monroe. Rosalie lived in Monroe until 1961 when she and Harold moved to Madison, WI, where she worked as a medical transcriptionist for Dr. Talbot. In 1963, they moved to Janesville where she raised her family and baby-sat. In 1974, Rosalie went back to transcribing medical records and worked for Riverview Dean of Janesville for 33 years. She retired in 2006.

Rosalie is survived by her husband: Harold of Janesville; one daughter: Pamela (Mark) Jenson of Darlington, WI; two grandchildren: Terra Jenson of Ames, IA, and Adam Jenson of Cuba City, WI; and two sisters-in-law: Betty Williams of rural Gratiot, WI, and Gracie Bouers of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bill Bouers and Virgil Bowman; and two sisters: Betty Bouer and Mary Ann Shebelbon.

Rosalie enjoyed her family and grandchildren immensely. She also looked forward to helping her daughter set up and attend craft fairs in the tri-state area. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Darlington United Methodist Church, 546 Park Place in Darlington with Rev. Larry Hakes officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Park Place (GPS Users: 130 West Cornelia Street) in Darlington and on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
