On April 22:
● 5:00 p.m. A deputy responded to State Line RD, Wayne Township for a two vehicle accident. Barbara A. Cecil, 72, South Wayne was performing a backing maneuver when she struck a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both Cecil’s vehicle and the 2013 Toyota operated by Robert J. Foster, 59, Darlington received functional damage and were driven from the scene.
On April 23:
● 5:47 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a one vehicle accident. Hiario Monfil-Pacheco, 33, Darlington was traveling on CTH F when he lost control, left the roadway, struck a fence, entered a pasture, went down an embankment and came to a rest next to a creek. Monfil-Pacheco reported no injuries. Monfil-Pacheco’s 2007 Jeep received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Monfil Pacheco was arrested for Operating After Revocation (OAR). Monfil-Pacheco was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released on a bond. Monfil-Pacheco was also cited for Failure to Report an Accident, Failure to Maintain Control, and Operating Without Insurance.
On April 27:
● 4:16 p.m. Deputies responded to Noble ST, Village of Gratiot for bail jumping. As a result, Elvis L. Ladow, 43, Gratiot was arrested for Bail Jumping. Ladow was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released.
On April 29:
● 10:48 p.m. A deputy, Wiota Fire, Wiota First Response and Argyle EMS responded to STH 78, Wiota Township for a one-vehicle accident. Nicholas Stubbendick, 33, Gratiot was operating his 2004 Dodge when he struck a cow. Minor injuries reported. Stubbendick’s 2004 Dodge received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Stubbendick was cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License- 1st offense.
On April 30:
● 7:03 a.m. Rachel J. Reichling, 34, Darlington reported striking a deer on Dobbs West RD, Darlington Township. Reichling reported no injuries. Reichling’s 2022 Chevrolet received functional damage and driven from the scene.
● 8:42 p.m. Geraldine A. McKeon, 60, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 81, Darlington Township. McKeon reported no injuries. McKeon’s 2016 Honda received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 10:11 p.m. Jennifer E. Ubersox, 45, Argyle reported striking a deer on Godfrey RD, Willow Springs Township. Ubersox reported no injuries. Ubersox’s 2010 Chrysler received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
On May 2:
● 3:52 p.m. A deputy responded to W Mound View AV, Village of Belmont for a minor two vehicle accident. James L. Uppena, 41, Platteville was performing a backing maneuver when he struck a 2020 Chevrolet operated by Timothy W. Rodrick, 63, Iowa City. No injuries were reported. Both Uppena’s 2017 Chevrolet and Rodrick’s vehicle received functional damage and were driven from the scene.
