Brett V. Priebe, age 67 of Argyle passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 surrounded by his family at home. He was born on March 30, 1959 the son of Vernon and Carol (Woodruff) Priebe in Hazel Crest, IL. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1977.

Brett dedicated his life to farming and worked on the farm throughout his life. In 1994, he began working at Monroe Truck Equipment, where he remained until his retirement in October 2025. He was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church. Brett enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and gardening. He took great pride in his family and growing his own vegetables. Brett also liked going to tractor pulls and collecting toy tractors.

Brett is survived by his daughter, Heather (Keith) Schlafli of Argyle; grandson, Hank Schlafli; fiancée, Susan Smith of Argyle; her children, Kristin and Kari and their families; siblings, Joi (Gary) Keepers of Monroe, Clark Priebe of Argyle, and Brian (Andrea) Priebe of Browntown; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Apple Grove Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jon Paquette officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
