Roger Hagen, age 58 of Galena, IL, formerly of South Wayne area, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Midwest Medical in Galena, IL. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Monroe; the son of Norman and Treva (Mau) Hagen. Roger married Toni Nethery on September 19, 1972 in Darlington. Roger operated his own dairy farm all his life and also helped out the Kent farms. He belonged to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in South Wayne, the Gratiot Sportsman club, and the Gratiot coffee clutch. He enjoyed boating, fishing with his friends, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Toni of Galena, Il; his 3 children: Brenda (Pat Place) Peterson of South Wayne, Daniel (Antoin Milhous) Hagen of New York, NY, and Brian Hagen of South Wayne; 3 grandchildren: Tyler Peterson, Trae Hagen and Madelynn Place; his mother, Treva Hagen of Monroe; 4 brothers: David (Donna) Hagen of Darlington, Lee (Ricardo) Hagen of Avoca, Dean Hagen of Gratiot, and Dennis (Sue) Hagen of South Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, South Wayne, with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, South Wayne. A visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, South Wayne. Hanson Funeral Home, South Wayne, is assisting the family.
