Albany Police

ALBANY - On Saturday, Aug. 31:

• Dylon R. Skarm, 20, Mount Horeb, was cited for underage drinking.

• Lucas L. Stoeher, 20, Argyle, was cited for underage drinking.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - James Engelke, 47, Brodhead, was arrested for a probation violation in the 900 block of West 3rd Avenue at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.

• Andrew R. Converse, 24, Monticello, was arrested in the 1200 block of 4th Street at 1:51 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, on a warrant issued by the Rock County Circuit Court. Cash bond was posted, and he was released.

• David L. Johnson, 41, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery and disorderly conduct at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the 1300 block of West 2nd Avenue.

• David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a revoked license, failure to obey lawful order, failure to yield, driving without vehicle insurance and non-registration of a vehicle at 9:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• Gene E. Coplien, Sr., 57, Brodhead, was cited for violating off-street parking restrictions Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the 1500 block of West 7th Avenue.

• Brandon J. Collier, 35, Brodhead, was cited Thursday, Aug. 29, for five counts of issuing worthless checks.

• Valerie S. Oetzel, 32, Florida, was cited for speeding at 5:21 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Laura A. Stieglitz, 29, Chicago, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Pamela A. Klarman, 47, Machesney Park, Ill., was cited for speeding at 10:42 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Brittany E. Tropp, 22, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 11:49 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Karen S. McCay, 61, Juda, was cited for speeding at 2:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Maynard R. Miller, 48, Janesville, was cited for speeding and a seatbelt violation at 2:49 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the 600 block of 1st Street.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Friday, Aug. 30:

• Benjamin M. Bedward, 31, New Glarus, was arrested in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 2:09 a.m. on an outstanding warrant issued by the Columbia County Sheriff's Department. He posted the required bond and was released pending court.

• Bradley A. Munz, 24, Browntown, was arrested on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim after police responded at 10:22 p.m. to a disturbance in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. Munz was jailed pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Ian R. Sigg, 21, Hollandale, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the N9200 block of Wisconsin 78 in York Township at 2:49 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Sigg was northbound when he veered in the gravel shoulder and lost control. The vehicle went down over an embankment, where it overturned before coming to rest on its tires. Sigg was injured but declined medical treatment at the scene. The vehicle was very severely damaged and towed. Sigg was also cited for driving too fast for conditions and was released pending court.

• James E. Truesdill, 37, New Glarus, was arrested on charges of felony battery of a police officer, resisting/obstructing police, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after deputies responded to a domestic incident at a residence in the N7900 block of High Prairie Lane in New Glarus Township at 8:48 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. He is jailed without bond pending an initial court appearance.

• David Andrew Nolte, 20, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a suspended license (fifth offense) and speeding at 3:22 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the W2300 block of County EE in Albany Township.

• Tyler J. Meyer, 28, Blanchardville, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 5:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the N3600 block of Wis. 81 in Monroe Township.

• Deputies responded to a complaint of late hunting at the Decatur Lake boat landing in Decatur Township at 8:27 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1. Tyler R. Thostenson, 17, Brodhead, shot and killed a Canada goose during closed hours, failed to validate his tag, possessed two lead shot shells while hunting migratory game birds and did not have a federal waterfowl stamp. The goose was seized as evidence. The Department of Natural Resources will be notified for further law enforcement action.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Amy Sue Collins, 37, Maryville, Tenn., was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and driving without a valid license at 10:29 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, on Parkinson Road in Fayette Township.

• Angela M. Farrey, 33, Platteville, was arrested in Shullsburg at 1:47 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, on an outstanding warrant issued by the Shullsburg Police Department. She posted bond and was released.

• Joseph D. Nordmeyer, 30, Dodgeville, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct at 9:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, following a disturbance at a business on Christensen Drive in Darlington.

• Kyle B. Bushman, 20, Platteville, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and criminal damage to property after deputies investigated a complaint at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at a business on West Commerce Street in Belmont. Bushman reportedly broke a large glass window. He was later released to a responsible party.

• Chad J. Swanson, 28, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 16 at 3:49 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township. He was also arrested on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. He was later released to a responsible party.

• Denise R. Lefave, 49, Fort Atkinson, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township at 2:19 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30.

• Clarence K. Kammer, 39, Pleasant Prairie, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:48 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• Kenneth M. Garramone, 44, Crystal Lake, Ill., was cited for speeding at 3:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, on County W in White Oak Springs Township.

• Rochelle J. Calvert, 76, Cuba City, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign on County W in White Oak Springs Township at 5:36 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30.

• Thomas P. Busse, 25, Platteville, was cited for speeding on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.

• Cited for seatbelt violations on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, were David L. Burke, 50, and Brittany L. Jenson, 17, both of Darlington, and Courtney D. Brant, 18, Platteville.

• Edward G. Behrens, 47, Benton, was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and taken by Hazel Green Ambulance to a Dubuque hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash on Bennett Road in New Diggings Township at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Behrens was northbound when he lost control and slid the motorcycle into a ditch. He was able to get the motorcycle back onto the road and continued to his residence. He initially refused medical treatment. The 1993 Harley Davidson he was riding was moderately damaged. Benton First Response assisted at the scene.

• Steva M. Lehman, 17, South Wayne, was cited for disorderly conduct at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, following a disturbance at a residence on County D in Wayne Township.

• Jim R. Grumbeck, 61, Salem, was cited for speeding on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township at 5:47 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1.

• A theft of tools from a location on Faymont Road in Lamont Township was reported at 9:03 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30.

• A deputy responded to Wis. 78 in Gratiot Township at 2:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, to check the welfare of a juvenile found walking on the road. The juvenile was returned home to a Gratiot residence.

• A deputy assisted Darlington police with several intoxicated males sitting in the roadway on Frank Street in Darlington at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.
