Green County Sheriff

• Rosalba Vera, 35, Albany, was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control after deputies responded at 1:38 a.m. to a single-vehicle crash on Wis. 104 south of Yarwood Road in the Town of Brooklyn. She was southbound when she veered onto the gravel shoulder, overcorrected, crossed both lanes, overcorrected a second time and then went back across both lanes. The vehicle hit a No Passing Zone sign and then continued into a plowed field, where it came to a rest facing north. Vera reported no injuries. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

• Douglas F. Murray, 48, Monroe, was cited for driving while intoxicated (first offense) and for having open intoxicants in a vehicle at 5:20 a.m. on 31st Avenue near County KK in the Town of Monroe.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Paul R. Henke, 40, Madison, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.

• A theft of a trail camera from a property on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne was reported at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.

• A deputy investigated a complaint of a worthless check at a business on Main Street in Benton at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.

• A deputy responded to West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, for a traffic complaint of dump trucks traveling on a road with weight restrictions.

Monroe Police

MONROE - On Wednesday, Nov. 7:

• Jeffrey C. Miller, Jr., 18, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery at 12:59 a.m. in the 800 block of 14th Avenue. Court records indicate he repeatedly slapped a woman. He was also issued a municipal citation for underage drinking (third offense). He was jailed. He signed a $1,000 signature bond the following day. His initial appearance in court is set for Nov. 26.

• Brett M. Klein, 19, Monroe, was cited for driving without a license and with an expired registration at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 12th Street and 16th Avenue.

• A sick or injured cat was found in the 2300 block of 11th Street and reported to police at 8:15 a.m. The Green County Humane Society took the cat to a vet.

• A small purse was reported lost somewhere around Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St. If found, stop by the police station or call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.
