Green County Sheriff

MONROE - The Green County Sheriff's Office received a request at 12:20 a.m. Monday from the Wisconsin Department of Correction to arrest Frederick R.D. Veeder, 39, for an electronic monitoring violation. Deputies responded to an address in the W1200 block of Wisconsin 59 in the Town of Albany, where contact with Veeder was made. Veeder was arrested on the warrant and was transported to the Green County Jail.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• At deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department at 5:25 p.m. at a location on Clay Street in Darlington for the arrest of Timothy A. Fitzsimons, 24, Darlington, on a valid Iowa County warrant. Fitzsimons was later transferred to the custody of the Iowa County Sheriff's Department.

• John D. Lindsay, 57, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 8:56 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

• Melinda Kustka Mathew, 23, Platteville, was cited for having no proof of insurance and having improper vehicle registration at 11:02 a.m. on Ipswitch Road in Belmont Township.

• Lafayette County 911 Center began receiving numerous reports of storm damage at 11 p.m. in the northwest section of Lafayette County. Callers reported trees and power lines down, along with structure damage to farm buildings and residences. No reports of injuries were received.
