MONROE - Jacob L. Davidson, 26, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the West Bend Police Department, after officers responded to several calls complaining of a man yelling outside a residence in the 300 block of 4th Street at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, June 8. The man causing the disturbance, Matthew J. Busch, 35, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct and released pending court. Davidson, who had been inside the residence, was jailed.
Ibrahim Hamad Khatmi, 27, Annadale, Va., was arrested and jailed on charges of disorderly conduct and battery after police responded to a fight in progress at a wedding reception at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave., at 9:49 p.m. Saturday, June 8. When officers arrived, a large group of people was outside. Khatmi alleged that someone had called him a racial slur. Others at the party told officers Khatmi had hit his wife and then tackled and kicked a 43-year-old Stoughton man who was trying to keep him from attacking someone else. The Stoughton man was taken to Monroe Clinic for treatment of his injuries.
Cheyne R. Smith, 27, Monroe, was cited at 12:12 p.m. Friday, June 7, for skateboarding down the middle of 11th Street near 17th Avenue.

A business in the 600 block of 8th Avenue was issued a warning notice to mow the grass after an officer on patrol noticed the violation at 8:22 a.m.
A resident in the 1400 block of 14th Avenue reported at 10:16 a.m. that persons unknown took bricks from the retaining wall in the yard and dumped them onto the sidewalk.
A warning notice was sent to a resident in the 2200 block of 12th Street at 11:40 a.m. to remove brush from the terrace.
The theft of solar lights from a yard in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue was reported at 12:16 p.m.
A small black kitten was found at 12:57 p.m. in the parking lot of the Jailhouse Tap, 1404 12th St. The kitten was taken to the Green County Humane Society.
A resident at Monroe Manor, 516 26th Ave., reported the theft or misplacement of a cellphone at 2:12 p.m.
A caller at 3:42 p.m. reported that juveniles were standing along the road in the area of 13th Street and 16th Avenue and making lewd gestures at passing drivers. The juveniles were unzipping their pants and sticking a finger through the fly. An officer who responded did not locate the juveniles.
Police were called at 8:01 p.m. to investigate the death of an 80-year-old woman who died at a care facility in the 2800 block of 6th Avenue. There is no sign of foul play or cause for public concern.
Police were called at 8:03 p.m. to a dispute between neighbors in the 1900 block of 11th Street. The neighbors yelled things back and forth in a dispute over a shared driveway. One of the neighbors had left by the time an officer arrived. Police plan to follow up.
The theft of a motorbike valued at about $700 was reported at 9:46 p.m. in the 1300 block of 19th Street. The bike had been chained and locked up outside a residence.

A Plexiglas window in the parking ramp downtown was discovered damaged at 1:51 a.m. It appeared someone had kicked it out.
Police were called twice, at 12:49 and 3:30 p.m., to a dispute over child custody at a residence in the 800 block of 19th Street.
A caller at 3:31 p.m. reported juveniles were up in a tree in Lincoln Park, 1900 15th Ave., stripping off leaves and breaking branches. An officer made them clean it up and told them to stay out of the trees.
Police were called to a dispute between neighbors at 5:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of 27th Avenue. One neighbor said the other neighbor tapes letters of complaint to the mailbox. Police warned them both to stop.
Staff at Recreation Park reported a fight at 7:38 p.m. between two boys, ages 12 and 13, because they heard one of the boys had a knife. No knife was found.
A man in the 1400 block of 14th Street reported at 8:13 p.m. that his ex-wife did not drop off their children at his mother's house as scheduled and he can't go to his ex-wife's house to check on the children because the ex-wife has a restraining order against him. Police referred him to family court.
A possible drug overdose was reported at 10:59 p.m. in the 300 block of 4th Street. The 34-year-old Monroe man was taken into emergency detention and transported by EMS to Monroe Clinic.

Barking dogs were reported at 12:51 a.m. in the area of 17th Street and 8th Avenue. An officer who responded didn't hear any barking.
A 27-year-old Monroe man incapacitated by an intoxicant or combination of intoxicants was taken into protective custody and turned over to a family member after police responded to a complaint at 4:20 a.m. that the man was acting strangely outside a residence in the 100 block of 29th Avenue.
A stroller attachment for a bicycle was found on Wisconsin 11 at 8 a.m. It can be claimed at the police station.
Two cats were reported missing at 4:28 p.m. from the 3000 block of 15th Street. One is black and brown with some white. The other is a calico with fur on its head and tail only.
A 14-year-old girl experiencing a possible drug overdose was taken into emergency detention after police responded at 2:06 p.m. to the 2500 block of 9th Street.
A caller at 9:36 p.m. reported kids were jumping into the road and shooting off fireworks in the 700 block of 16th Avenue. An officer stopped by and told them to knock it off.

NEW GLARUS - Forrest H. Ott, 84, New Glarus, was cited for failing to yield right-of-way at a stop sign and driving without vehicle insurance after police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 69 at 14th Avenue at 5:26 p.m. Thursday, June 6. Ott was eastbound on 14th Avenue when he stopped at the intersection with Wis. 69 then turned northbound into the intersection, colliding with a vehicle driven by Shawn R. Weeden, 31, Monroe. No injuries were reported.
Kari A. Noble, 40, Mineral Point, was cited for driving with a suspended license and registration, no insurance and for a seatbelt violation at 5:16 p.m. Friday, June 7, on 6th Avenue at 1st Street. A passenger, Zachery R. Bowen, 23, Dodgeville, was also cited for a seatbelt violation.
Lorene R. Benzel, 85, Belvidere, Ill., was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speeding after police responded to a three-car crash with no injuries in the 500 block of 1st Street at 10:04 a.m. Saturday, June 8. Benzel had turned onto 1st Street from 6th Avenue when she attempted to brake but instead pressed the accelerator. This caused Benzel's vehicle to rearend a legally parked car, which in turn rearended a second legally parked car.
Miles H. Smith, 37, Monroe, was cited for a vehicle registration violation and a seatbelt violation in the 1100 block of Wis. 69 at 8:53 a.m. Sunday, June 9.
Police responded at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, to a burglar alarm at a business on Wis. 69. The alarm had been accidentally set off by an employee. Everything was fine.

Police responded to the 300 block of Elmer Road at 12:49 p.m. Thursday, June 6, for a civil dispute over property. The matter was resolved, and the property remained at the residence.
An officer responded to the area of 14th Avenue for a report of a suspicious car in the neighborhood at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, June 8. A 2004 gray Dodge Neon stopped in front of a house, then drove down the street, stopped and then came back past the house a second time and left the area. The car was gone when the officer arrived. The case remains unsolved.

MONROE - Four underagers were cited after deputies located a car stopped along the side of Zurfluh Road just east of Schneeberger Road in Mount Pleasant Township at 3:58 a.m. Sunday, June 9. The driver, Kasey C. Genthe, 19, Albany, was cited for underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Passengers Kyle R. Neuenschwander, 20, and two female juveniles, all from New Glarus, were cited for underage drinking.
Casey Sheldon Coggins, 20, Brodhead, was cited for failure to maintain control after deputies responded to a rollover crash on Wis. 11 at Mount Hope Road in Spring Grove Township at 3:23 p.m. Sunday, June 9. Coggins lost control when he swerved to avoid a vehicle stopped in traffic to turn south onto Mount Hope Road. Coggin's vehicle went into the ditch and overturned numerous times before coming to a rest on its wheels. Coggins reported wearing a seatbelt and was injured. He was taken by EMS to a Janesville hospital in critical but stable condition. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

DARLINGTON - James M. Farrey, 26, Shullsburg, was taken into custody on West Grove Street in South Wayne at 1:11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, on an warrant for failure to pay issued by the Shullsburg Police Department. He later posted bond and was released.
