MONROE - A September plea hearing has been set for a Monroe teen charged with multiple felony counts of downloading digital images of children engaged in sexual acts.
Scott T. Creed, 17, faces seven counts of possessing child pornography, a class I felony.
Creed appeared in court Wednesday, with attorney Michael Schmidt appearing by phone, before Green County Circuit Judge Thomas J. Vale.
A plea hearing is set for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13. Schmidt said that an agreement may have been reached between the district attorney and the defense, allowing both parties to be "happy."
At that time, Creed will be "entering pleas other than not guilty," Green County District Attorney Gary Luhman said.
On June 21, Creed pleaded not guilty to all charges.
A pre-sentencing investigation will be conducted, to help assist the court in determining various factors for sentencing, including the defendant's character and age.
Creed was charged with the seven counts on May 10. He was given a signature bond of $5,000.
Conditions of his bond also were reaffirmed Wednesday, including that Creed resides with a parent or parents, have no Internet access, and no unsupervised use of a computer.
