NEW GLARUS - Darrel Weber, 91, died peacefully Nov. 18. Darrel was born in 1925 to Harold C. and Nellie M. Weber of Viroqua. Darrel served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Darrel was married to Audrey Holter for 66 years until her death two years ago. After living and working in rural Viroqua, DeSoto, LaCrosse, Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls, Darrel and Audrey retired to New Glarus.
Darrel is survived by his sister Barbara (Gayle) Smith of Viroqua and their brother David (Linda) Weber of Scottsdale, AZ. Also left to honor Darrel's life are his children Jon (Pat) Weber, Christine "Tina" Weber, and Howard (Marina) Weber, two granddaughters, two grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
Darrel's family is grateful to the residents, staff and program participants at New Glarus Home and to the family of faith of Swiss United Church for their kindness to Darrel.
