WARREN - Colleen May McKee, 57, of Warren, IL. Passed away at University of Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.
Colleen was born on September 22, 1952 in Freeport, IL. She was the daughter of Willis G. and L. May (Vickers) McKee. She was a graduate of the Warren High School in the class of 1970. Colleen worked for Janlin Plastics in Warren and then for Micro Switch in Freeport until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warren. Colleen enjoyed working on her computer, bowling, she was an avid Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings Fan. Colleen enjoyed her many travels to every state in the union with the exception of Hawaii. Many of those trips she took with her close friend Joan Kent. Colleen enjoyed spending time with her many great nieces and nephews and the company of her dog Sasha.
Survivors include her Mother May McKee of Warren, IL, 1 brother Gaylord (Kathy) McKee of Warren, IL, 1 sister Janice (Denis) Toay of Stockton, IL, 7 nieces and nephews Jodi (Kevin) Kaiser, Janel (Troy) Bader, Willie (Carleen) McKee, Gabe (Jen) McKee, Brian (Joanne) Toay, Lisa Novak, Garrett Toay and Fiancée Bridget Wilson.
Preceded in death by her father, maternal and paternal grandparents, George and Eloise McKee and William H. and Effie Vickers.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.
Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.
Pastor Margo Peterson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren, IL.
