Jordan R. Carpenter, 17, Monroe, had a signature bond set at $1,500 on Monday, March 31 for one count of Class A Misdemeanor battery. Additional conditions to his bond include that he have no contact, except incidentally at school, with the victim of the alleged battery. Carpenter was charged with battery for an incident that occurred Jan. 13. If convicted for the maximum penalty, Carpenter could face up to $10,000 in fines or nine months imprisonment or both. He has a pre-trial conference set for May 6.
