Monroe Police

MONROE — Domestic abuse between exes was reported at 12:53 a.m. Oct. 20 in the downtown area. The ex-boyfriend drove from his rural Monroe home into the city to talk to his ex-girlfriend, a Monroe resident. They got into a heated argument sitting in his vehicle along the street. At one point, she got out and ran down the street to get away from him. Officers located her. Meanwhile, the boyfriend walked into the police station lobby to report that she had punched him. An ambulance was called to treat his minor injuries on scene. Neither person was arrested. The case was referred to the District Attorney for a charging decision because the officers could not determine the primary aggressor based on the statements provided.

●  Zachary W. Schliem, 21, Albany, was arrested at 2:12 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 2000 block of 4th Street on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole warrant. He was jailed pending court.

●  An officer located an occupied vehicle parked in the lot of a closed park at 12:35 a.m. in the 400 block of 14th Avenue. Kendall D. Wild, 18, Monroe, was arrested on charges of possessing THC and drug paraphernalia. He was booked and released pending court.

●  Carole D. Myers, 57, Monroe, was cited for retail theft after officers responded to a theft report at 7:57 a.m. Nov. 3 at a business in the 1600 block of 9th Street.

●  Cyndle R. Wilkens, 29, McConnell, Illinois, was arrested following a traffic stop at 2:12 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 2100 block of Wis. 69 on two misdemeanor warrants issued through the Green County Sheriff’s Office. She was jailed pending court.

On Nov. 8:

●  Trespassing was reported at 12:19 p.m. at a residence in the 1200 block of 12th Avenue. Frederick S. Neuenschwander, 54, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failing to appear in court on a fourth-offense operating while intoxicated case. He was jailed pending court.

●  A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:59 p.m. at a residence in the 1600 block of 8th Street. Thomas C. Krieger, 47, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. He was also wanted on a Green County warrant for failure to appear in court on a burglary case. He was jailed pending court.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — Trespassing was reported at 11:14 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 400 block of North Monroe Street.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. The dog was caught by its owner prior to police arrival.

On Oct. 13:

●  A trailer parked in the roadway for over 24 hours was reported at 10:16 a.m. in the 500 block of Montesian Court. A warning was issued and the trailer removed.

●  Police assisted a citizen regarding the leaf ordinance at 11:43 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police assisted the Green County Human Services with an investigation at 11:46 a.m. in the 200 block of South Pierce Street.

●  Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at 1:11 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

On Oct. 14:

●  Police located an abandoned vehicle at 7:58 a.m. on Adams Road near East Wisconsin Avenue. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

●  Police assisted Monticello First Response with traffic control at 12:50 p.m. on North Main Street at East Coated Avenue.

●  Fraud was reported at 1:52 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Roman F. Evanco, 25, Madison, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 2:54 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Rory S. Privett, 27, Brodhead, was cited for non-registration of vehicle, failure to obtain vehicle title, displaying false registration and driving without a valid license at 3:50 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  A disturbance was reported at 4:16 p.m. in the 100 block of West Highland Avenue.

On Oct. 15:

●  A dog running at large was reported at 11:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Lake Avenue. The dog was recovered prior to police arrival.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 1:53 p.m. in the 100 block of East Park Avenue. Everything was fine.

●  A vehicle alarm was reported at 5:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. The owner stopped the alarm. 

On Oct. 16:

●  A wide-open residence door was reported at 2:12 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. It was determined the weather blew the door open.

On Oct. 25:

●  Police were dispatched to an EMS call in the village at 9:01 p.m.

●  Parking complaints were reported at about 3 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Two citations were issued.

On Oct. 26:

●  A code violation involving chickens was reported at 10:58 a.m. in the 200 block of Pierce Street.

●  Harassment was reported at 11 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police located an abandoned vehicle with an expired registration at 12:23 p.m. in the 600 block of East Lake Street. The owner was sent a warning letter.

●  Police assisted a citizen with questions regarding vehicle registration at 12:51 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  James D. Buss, 29, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:22 p.m. at East Lake Avenue and Adams Road.

●  Robert P. Bennett, 32, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 5:38 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.

On Oct. 27:

●  Police assisted Green County Human Services at 2:55 p.m.

●  Police assisted a citizen with notarization at 8:07 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

On Oct. 28:

●  An explosion was reported at 9:42 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. It turned out to be a transformer damaged by a squirrel.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 9:47 a.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. The vehicle was tagged for 24-hour removal.

On Oct. 29:

●  A vehicle blocking the roadway was reported at 12:25 p.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Avenue. Vehicles were moved upon police arrival.

●  Logan Swanson, 33, Albany, was cited for speeding at 2:16 p.m. at East Wisconsin Avenue and South Pratt Road.

●  A dog hit by a vehicle was reported at 3:57 p.m. in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. Police took the dog to the Green County Humane Society for life-saving medical treatment. An investigation is ongoing.

On Oct. 31:

●  Police assisted with traffic control for Monticello First Response at 12:11 p.m., Town of Monticello.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 2:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. Everything was OK.

●  Police assisted Blanchardville police at 3 p.m. with locating a vehicle owner for a parking complaint.

●  Police assisted with traffic control for Monticello First Response at 7:54 p.m., Town of Monticello.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 9:33 p.m. at East Highland Avenue and North Monroe Street. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

On Nov. 2:

●  Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation at 2:47 p.m.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 4:34 p.m. in the 300 block of North Monroe Street. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 8:34 p.m. on East Lake Avenue and Pratt Road. Everything was OK.

On Nov. 3:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:25 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Theft of property was reported at 8:37 a.m. It was determined the caller needed the Monticello, New York Police Department.
