Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of March 1-7, police performed 15 security checks, 37 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 13 follow-ups to incidents and 21 vehicle registrations; responded to 20 calls for service, 10 EMS calls and three 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made one traffic stop. No fire calls and no mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Monday, March 2:

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 5:33 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  Disorderly conduct involving subjects causing a verbal disturbance was reported at 7:38 p.m. in the 200 block of 8th Street. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges.

On Wednesday, March 4:

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s June Vehicle Ordinance was reported at 1:13 p.m. in the 800 block of 9th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:47 p.m. in a parking lot in the 1400 block of 21st Street. One vehicle backed into another vehicle. Due to this occurring on private property, no citations were issued.

On Thursday, March 5:

●  Harassment was reported at 10:21 a.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 9:08 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. The owner was warned.

On Friday, March 6:

●  A Brodhead man, 29, was cited for unlawful use of a registration at 10:53 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Saturday, March 7:

●  Four juveniles were warned for curfew violations at 12:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Juniper Avenue.

●  Public urination was reported at 4 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The suspect was not located.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Angela S. Coulthard, 37, Monroe, was arrested at the Monroe Police Department at 9:15 p.m. Friday, March 6, following an investigation into an incident that occurred March 4 in the 500 block of 8th Street. She was charged with domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and released pending court after posting the required bond.

On Saturday, March 7:

●  William H. Helfvogt Jr., 41, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 2:12 a.m. on Wis. 69 near 16th Street. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, unsafe lane deviation and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. He was jailed pending court.

●  Marques D. Hicks, 35, Monroe, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after officers were called at 10:42 p.m. to a disturbance in the 700 block of 20th Street. He was released after posting the required cash bond.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Mario I. Perez-Barrios, 34, Monroe, was cited for speeding, driving without a valid license and failure to install an ignition interlock device at 1:57 a.m. Thursday, March 5, in the N5300 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington.

●  Zachariah C. L. Pizano, 21, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold at the Green County Probation and Parole Office at the Justice Center in Monroe at 11:04 a.m. Friday, March 6. He was jailed.

●  Deanna M. Hoffman, 33, Madison, was cited for speeding, driving with a revoked license and failure to install an ignition interlock device in the N6800 block of Wis. 104, Town of Albany, at 11:52 a.m. Saturday, March 7.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON —  On Tuesday, March 3:

●  Clinton M. LaDow, 19, Gratiot, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, non-registration of a vehicle and display of unauthorized plates at 1:04 a.m. on Tiny Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a welfare check at 2:58 a.m. on East Alice Street in Darlington.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 9:04 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:09 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 1:17 p.m. on Bridge Street, Town of Gratiot.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 4:08 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 4:58 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

On Wednesday, March 4:

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 3:41 a.m. on County A, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Kathryn T. Cole, 59, Cuba City, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 8:33 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  Deputies responded at 11:43 a.m. to Wells Street in Darlington for an alarm.

●  Breanna L. Staver, 24, Scales Mound, Illinois, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 4:08 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:12 p.m. on Dobbs West Road, Town of Lamont.

●  William R. Burgess, 20, Shullsburg, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 7:17 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

●  An injured deer was reported at 8:15 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Belmont police assisted on scene.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 10:54 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.
