DODGEVILLE — Three people from South Dakota were arrested near Dodgeville late on Dec. 30 after an 11-year-old girl was kidnapped in Indiana.

Extradition hearings were held Tuesday afternoon in Iowa County Circuit Court for Zachary Delozier, 27, Edgemont, S.D., Sara Gaudino, 23, and Isaiah Schryvers, 24, both of Rapid City, S.D., on warrants for kidnapping of a minor in Zanesville, Ind., on Saturday.

Gaudino and Schryvers waived their rights to extradition and will return to Indiana. Delozier’s hearing was rescheduled for Friday, as he did not have an attorney at the time of his extradition hearing. He was appointed an attorney.

Natalia Cornett, 11, was last seen near Stoney Creek Estate Mobile Home Park Saturday around 3:30 p.m. Wells County, Ind., Sheriff Scott Holliday reported that a white minivan with one or two men in it was seen in the area after her disappearance, according to WPTA-TV in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Indiana issued a Silver Alert, saying Cornett was believed to be in extreme danger and possibly needed medical assistance, according to the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Journal Gazette.

Later on Saturday the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office was told that a vehicle at Kwik Trip in Barneveld was involved in an Indiana Silver Alert and that its occupants were possibly armed.

While sheriff’s deputies were on their way to Barneveld the Sheriff’s Office was told the vehicle was on U.S. 18/151 in the Town of Dodgeville. Dodgeville police located the vehicle heading south on U.S. 151. Sheriff’s deputies and police stopped the vehicle, arrested the three adults, and removed the girl safely from the vehicle, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

“Being out there with this great group of professionals, watching all these agencies come together, taking these three adults into custody quickly, and removing this 11-year-old female from this situation so she can return to her family is an amazing feeling,” said Sheriff Michael Peterson in the news release.

U.S. 151 southbound was closed for about 20 minutes during the arrest, the Sheriff’s office said.

Sheriff’s detectives and the state Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating the incident. Mineral Point police, the Iowa County Highway Department and Iowa County Social Services assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
