On May 8:

● At 9:44 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation & Parole Office, where Richard D. Hauser, 44, of Brodhead, was taken into custody for a Probation Hold and Warrant. Hauser was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court

On May 9:

● At 11:10 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the N7000 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington. The investigation resulted in the driver, Raul Velazco Sanjuan, 38, of Beloit, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence (4th offense), Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device, and Operating After Revocation (due to an alcohol offense). Velazco Sanjuan was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

On May 11:

● At approximately 1:43 p.m., Deputies, Juda First Response, and Green County EMS, responded to the W2600 blk of STH 11, Town of Jefferson, for a vehicle vs bicyclist crash. Investigation determined Michael W. Purcell, 72 of Monroe, was traveling west on STH 11 and attempted to cross the roadway. At this time, an east bound vehicle operated by Maria E. Uriarte-Benavidez, 30 of Brodhead, struck the rear tire of Michael’s bicycle while he was in the east bound lane. Michael was ejected from the bicycle and landed in the south ditch of STH 11. Michael sustained non-life-threatening injury and was transported by EMS from the scene. Maria sustained no injuries. Her vehicle sustained functional damage with no airbag deployment and was driven from the scene. Maria was issued a citation for Operating Without a Valid License pending a court date.

On May 16:

● At 9:23 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office, City of Monroe, and placed Richard D. Hauser, 44, of Janesville, under arrest for a probation hold. Richard was transported to the Green County Jail.

● At 9:02 p.m., Deputies, along with Albany EMS, were dispatched to the W2300 block of STH 59, Town of Albany, for a single vehicle rollover crash. Investigation resulted in the driver, Isaac J. Smart Powell, 23, of Edgerton, losing control of his vehicle which crossed the centerline and entered the shoulder, then the ditch. Powell’s vehicle then rolled several times coming to rest on its roof in the nearby field. As a result, Powell was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st offense). Powell was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Powell reported wearing his seatbelt. His vehicle had airbag deployment, disabling damage, and was towed from the scene. Powell was released to a responsible party pending a court date.
