MONROE - Monroe Main Street's 10th Annual Christmas Parade is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.

This year's parade theme is "Santa's Workshop" and individuals, business and organizations can participate with an entry.

The parade will start at the Monroe Middle School northside/school district's parking lot, 1510 13th St., and proceed around the Square returning to the parking lot.

Generators will be available from Precision Drive and Control, Inc., for any entry that needs electricity for lighting. Those who need one need to make arrangements to reserve and pick up a generator. There is a limited supply which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The east side of the Square will be blocked off for the floats and the tree-lighting ceremony. Lights have been purchased by members of the community to light the large Christmas tree on the southeast corner of the Courthouse lawn. Following the parade, the tree will be lit and other activities will be held on the east side of the Square.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance after the parade at the Wisconsin Community Bank, 1717 10th St.
