WISCONSIN DELLS - Meghan Roberts threw a one-hitter and the Monroe softball team is returning to the state tournament for a second straight season.
The Cheesemakers blanked Edgerton 3-0 in Wednesday's Division 2 sectional title game in Wisconsin Dells. Monroe had beaten Adams-Friendship, 8-3, in a semifinal earlier Wednesday.
Monroe advances to the state tournament at Goodman Field on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison. The Cheesemakers play either Port Washington or Union Grove at 6 p.m. Friday, June 12.
