MONROE — The Stateline Trailblazers Snowmobile Club of Green County organized a charitable event for Christmas. They delivered donated food, Christmas meals and winter clothing accessories to needy families.

These gifts were delivered by “Santas on Sleds” on Sunday, Dec. 22. They were assisted by Juda School District in selecting these families and hope to make this an annual event rotating between small towns in Green County.

Even though there were no signs of snow, this did not stop them from delivering cheer. Club members delivered gifts via snowmobiles on a trailer. Before they knew it, children and families gathered streetside to join in the event and sit with Santa on his sled to share hot cocoa, cookies and candy canes. Juda is an unincorporated small town of around 300.

Stateline Trailblazers snowmobile club has approximately 100 members and is responsible for grooming and caring for the trails in Green County. Darren Roth, club trail boss, says that their club is responsible for over 125 miles of snowmobile trails.
