ROCKFORD, Ill. - Children's Home and Aid, a child welfare agency in Illinois, provides workshops and retreats for adoptive couples living in Illinois and Wisconsin urban and rural communities through the Adoptive Families Together program. Families who have a foster child in their home whose permanency goal is adoption are also welcome to participate in the Adoptive Families Together workshops. Services through the Adoptive Families Together program are paid for through a grant and are free of charge to couples.
The Adoptive Families Together program also offers weekly workshops and educational seminars which are open to the public. The next seminar, "Attachment is a Two-way Street" will be held May 20 at the Children's Home and Aid office, 910 Second Ave. in Rockford.
