Monroe: GCHS annual meeting is May 1 at Ludlow

MONROE - The Green County Humane Society's annual meeting will include a silent auction of items donated by area businesses.

The GCHS annual meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Peppercorn at Ludlow Mansion in Monroe.

Silent auction items include a framed print by Pat Saunders White, a gift certificate for landscaping, a round of golf, a savings bond, collectable farm toys, specialty pet-related items and food and beverage items.

The meeting will begin with a social time that includes refreshments. A cash bar will be available. There will be an opportunity for new members to register or for existing members to renew. There will also be a short business meeting.

There will be five directors from the board up for re-election: Chris Soukup, Sue Curran, Tracey Pederson, Mick McClain and Sherri Fiduccia. No other names were submitted by the March 17 deadline.

The meeting is open to the public. Only members are allowed to vote.

GCHS funds are not being used for this event.
