MONROE — Monroe Clinic has added Mo Gerdvisheh, MD to the general surgery team.

Dr. Gerdvisheh received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Devens, Massachusetts, and completed his residency in general surgery at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Gerdvisheh is skilled in the treatment of hernias, gall bladder disease, diverticulitis, skin abnormalities, appendicitis and cancers —such as breast, colon and stomach cancer. He utilizes minimally invasive surgery procedures, including both laparoscopic and robotic surgery. 

While Dr. Gerd-visheh performs surgical procedures at the Surgery and Procedure Center at the Monroe Clinic hospital in Monroe, he sees patients for pre-operative and clinic visits at the Monroe Clinic-Freeport location.

Dr. Gerdvisheh joins Dr. Nick Maxwell and the skilled team of surgical and clinical nurses to serve the surgical needs of Northwest Illinois and Southwest Wisconsin.
