MONROE - Monroe High School students Austin Burandt, Tyler Barta, Luke Peterson and Zach VanNatta will attend Badger Boys State 2011 in June as delegates.
Burandt is a member of National Honor Society. He is active in German Club and Exchange and Investment Club and played football, basketball and baseball. He plans to attend college, majoring in pre-law and to go on to law school.
Barta is involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), German Club and Exchange, Investment Club and Prom committee. He also played varsity basketball and football, while working at Cousins Subs. He plans to attend college to study either accounting or marketing, with a minor in German.
Peterson is a member of National Honor Society, 4-H, Investment Club and Costa Rican Exchange, and he runs cross country and track. He plans to go into graphic design or advertising.
VanNatta is an Eagle Scout with Troop 101, a member of National Honor Society, and FBLA. He is active as a Boy Scout and Venturing Scout and plans to do something business related in the future, potentially accounting.
