Library plans summer program for youth

MONROE - Make Waves summer library program is for children entering sixth through 12th grade. A calendar of events will be available at registration at the Monroe Public Library beginning June 7. Make Waves Programs are on Thursdays through June and July.

Beneath the Sea brown bag art sessions are 1-2 p.m. Thursdays. Bring your own lunch and make a craft.

Join in the special summer programs scheduled 3:30-4:30 p.m., such as the Rock Aqua Jays water ski team!

This summer, read four books you haven't read before, write a book review, get a prize and one ticket to the awesome Luau on July 22.

Join in the special activities such as the Pirates Challenge treasure hunt in the children's room and Water Games an outside event.

Sign up for the Black Light workshop (Wednesday) and pickup a reader's theater casting call sheet for the play "The Girl Fish" presented this summer at Monroe Public Library.
