MONROE - The Stateline Homeschooling Group invites the public to the opening of its spring art show on Saturday, May 7, from 2 to 4 pm in the Club 48 room at Pleasant View Nursing Home, N3150 Hwy. 81, Monroe.

The show, entitled "Joyning", is a collection of artwork celebrating the joy found in cultivating relationships within our families, communities, and the natural world.

The show culminates several months of art gatherings where families explored a variety of techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpting, and batik. Homeschooling is by nature an inter-generational undertaking and the show reflects this, with several pieces resulting from the collaboration of kids, parents, and grandparents.

Showing the work at Pleasant View offers a wonderful opportunity to involve our senior community members who are often left on the fringes.

Some of the artwork will be for sale and in the spirit of community, the artists will donate a portion of proceeds to the Green County Humane Society as suggested by the staff at Pleasant View.

The Stateline artists wish to thank the folks at the First National Bank and Trust Company for the use of their community room, and the Kiwanis Club for the use of their Youth Cabin. We also want to thank the staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home for so graciously agreeing to host the show.
