MONROE — The second annual Cheesemaker Open Cheese Tournament will take place Nov. 13 in the Monroe High School “M” Room and gym.
The event is open to all interested across three divisions:
• Elementary Division (Grades K-5)
• Middle School Division (Grades 6-8)
• High School/Open Division (Grades 9-12, plus adults)
Check in will be at 8 a.m., with competition beginning around 9 a.m. There will be four or five rounds, depending on tournament side. There will be individual trophies for the top three in each division. Awards should be completed by 3 p.m.
There will be breakfast and lunch available for purchase. It costs $15 to preregister and $20 the day of, and $5 for Monroe Parks and Rec Chess Club participants.
