SPRING GREEN — A strong sense of community prevailed during Community Connections Free Clinic’s (CCFC) Spring Celebration and Fundraiser held April 6, 2025, at the Wisconsin Riverside Resort in Spring Green. Over 250 people celebrated CCFC’s nineteen years serving those uninsured or unable to pay for primary healthcare. The annual event, which includes dinner, live and silent auctions and a raffle of donated items and experiences, along with a presentation by CCFC Medical Director Dr. Aaron Dunn, provides essential financial support for the clinic’s important work.
Since its inception in 2006, CCFC has provided over 16,000 patient visits and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in prescription cost for southwestern Wisconsin residents at risk for healthcare. In 2024 alone, CCFC served 1,009 patients, of which 70% were non-English speaking. Located in Dodgeville, CCFC serves residents from a four-county area through the work of volunteer medical professionals, a core staff, and others who contribute goods, time, and money.
In addition to office visits, CCFC operates a mobile clinic which visits local farms and businesses to provide wellness checks and vaccinations.
“Healthy communities commit to ensuring the physical and mental health of all who live and work among us,” said Daniel Smith, CCFC Director. “The incredible support of not only those who attended our fundraiser, but those who volunteer their time and contribute throughout the year, ensure everyone has access to primary healthcare, regardless of their financial or employment situation. This is why CCFC exists, and why it is so important that it continues.”
