Blossoms & Barbs: April 12, 2014

It's that time of the year again. Trash in the ditches. Blossoms to the "Adopt A Highway" volunteers, who go out there and pick up the trash that irresponsible citizens throw out. If only everyone would take their trash home, we wouldn't have these ugly highways. It's Cheese Days this year and let's all "spruce" up our mail boxes, lawns and whatever else, so we'll be ready for our visitors in September. - Alice Ladwig

The Green County Food Pantry would like to give a huge blossom to the Roundy's Foundation for its contribution of more than 2,300 pounds of food to us this week. As the number of clients increase, so the need for more food. Again thank you as it is greatly appreciated. - Maynard Heins, food pantry coordinator.
