ORFORDVILLE — The Monroe Wrestling Club saw its hard work at practices pay off as 28 wrestlers competed at the Parkview Youth Tournament and placed first as a team on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Individual results

In the 2013-2015 Bracket: Briggs Engelkens (43-46 lbs) second place; Jack Follett (46-47 lbs) third place; Charles Pfeifer (47-48 lbs) second place; Decklin Doran (48-50 lbs) third place; Maverick Meighan (50-55 lbs) second place; and Karl Nolen (81 lbs) first place. 

In the 2011-2012 Bracket: Abram Homb (49-54 lbs) first place; Blaine Fletcher (54-56 lbs) first place; Braxton Schmidt (54-55 lbs) second place; Ashton Laws (56-59 lbs) third place; Armin Grunder (63-67 lbs) first place; Cayden Bezik (67-71 lbs) fourth place; and Brody Eberle (75-79 lbs) fourth place. 

In the 2009-2010 Bracket: Gage Ostby (54-58lbs) third place; Noah Schuh (62-66 lbs) third place; Oliver Helland (67-70 lbs) third place; Gage Jelle (70-74 lbs) third place;   Tristen Laws (82-87 lbs) second place; Patrick Harms (90-97 lbs) second place; Wyatt Weckerly (90-97 lbs) third place; and Ivie Ellenson (106-113 lbs) third place. 

In the 2007-2008 Bracket: Eli Salzwedel (75-81 lbs) fourth place; Chase Doll (77-83 lbs) third place; Garrett Minder (88-95 lbs) fourth place; Cole Meighan (88-95 lbs) first place; and Payton Weckerly (96-103 lbs) second place. 

In the 2005-2006 Bracket: Owen Voegeli (68-82 lbs) first place; and Christian Schuh (110-123 lbs) first place.

Competing at the Milton Monster Mash on Feb. 16 were Kaydon Proctor (10U 56-60 lbs) sixth place and Carson Menehan (14U 105-112 lbs) third place.
