Monroe Wrestling Club members competed at the Youth State Qualifier in Evansville on March 19. Of the 13 Monroe wrestlers, 10 qualified for state, which will take place March 25-26 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

State qualifying wrestlers were: In the Boys Division — Dixon Starr (13-14, 51lbs) 1st place; Colton Ladwig (13-14, 51lbs) 2nd place; Jaxon Gobeli (13-14, 75lbs) 4th place; Blaine Fletcher (11-12, 72lbs) 2nd place; Forrest Treuthardt (11-12, 72lbs) 3rd place; Briggs Hoesly (11-12, 81lbs) 2nd place; Gage Ostby (09-10, 70lbs) 3rd place; Patrick Harms (09-10, 130lbs) 2nd place; Weston Huntsman (09-10, 97lbs) 4th place. In the Girls Division — Gabi Harms (11-12, 95lbs) 2nd place. 

Briggs Engelkens, Evan Johnson, and Kraig Walter also wrestled at the qualifier.
