Trojans pull away from Panthers

BELOIT - For one half, the Juda girls basketball team played even with Beloit Turner, but the Trojans behind Ashley Himmelmann pulled out a 49-43 win over the Panthers in the second half on Saturday.

Himmelmann scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Trojans. She made 8 of 10 free throws.

Juda (6-6, 3-2 Six Rivers East) was tied with Beloit Turner at 27 at the half. The Trojans outscored the Panthers 22-16 in the second half.

Juda sophomore Hailey Kammerer scored a team-high 13 points and hit 9 of 9 free throws. Sophomore teammate MacKenzie Byrne added 10 points.



Parkview 50, Pecatonica 31

BLANCHARDVILLE - Pecatonica's Samantha Mabin scored a game-high 15 points, but Parkview used a big first half to roll to a 50-31 win on Saturday.

The Vikings were without three players due to injuries or prior commitments.

Parkview jumped out to a 10 point lead at the half, 29-19. Parkview's Katie Harnack scored a team-high 11 points.

With the loss, Pecatonica drops to 1-12, 0-5 Six Rivers East.
