Roster set for UW-W men’s track and field team

WHITEWATER — The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s track and field team started its 2025 indoor season on Jan. 18. The outdoor season starts March 28.

The following student-athletes have been named to the roster of the Warhawk men’s track and field team at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the 2025 season:

●  Evansville: Noah Deml, who is majoring in Business Analytics.

●  Belleville: Jack Erickson, who is majoring in Finance.

●  Gratiot: Rhett Reuter, who is majoring in Physical Education.

The Warhawks finished fourth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at both the indoor and outdoor championship meets in 2024. The team placed fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships and tied for sixth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Returning distance runner Christian Patzka captured three individual national titles last spring, winning the indoor and outdoor 5,000-meter run and the outdoor 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Head coach Mike Johnson enters his 18th season leading the men’s program. The Warhawk men have finished among the top 10 at 19 national meets (11 indoor, eight outdoor) during Johnson’s tenure.

The Warhawks began the 2025 season Saturday at Carthage’s Firebird First Invitational. The team competes in its first home meet of the season this Saturday — the Karl Schlender Invitational at Kachel Fieldhouse. For the full 2025 schedule, visit
