BLANCHARDVILLE - Argyle junior Jena Saalsaa scored a game-high 17 points and the Orioles rolled to a 68-14 win over Pecatonica Thursday.

"Turnovers and second-chance points were a problem," Pecatonica coach Bobby Rose said. "They (Argyle) are a very athletic team. As a young team that is less experienced, their athleticism and aggressiveness got to us. We needed to be in a little bit better position to rebound tonight. We let them speed us up. We rushed some shots and maybe it would have ben a better idea to slow it down a little. It's those things (turnovers, making quick decisions and rebounding) that young teams struggle with."

Argyle senior Morgan Nelson and junior Kirsten Ostby each added 10. With the win, Argyle improves to 14-4 overall and 8-2 in the Six Rivers East Conference.

Pecatonica freshman Sydney Eaton and junior Krin Broshous each had a team-high 4 points.

Pecatonica (1-17, 0-10 Six Rivers East) played without senior Nina McKeon, the team's leading scorer, who missed the game due to a head injury.

"We hope to have her back to practice on a limited basis soon," Rose said. "We hope that she can return before the end of the year."
