BELLEVILLE — Sugar River was tested in its own triangular on Thursday, Jan. 25, facing No. 4-ranked Lodi and Mineral Point. The Raiders dropped both duals 55-17 and 39-33, respectively. Blake Endres (120; 35-6), Mason Mau (138; 30-2) and Carson Loshaw (190; 33-7) were the only wrestlers to go 2-0 on the night.

WISCONSIN DELLS INVITE

WISCONSIN DELLS — The Raiders rebounded four a fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin Dells Invite on Saturday, Jan. 27. Endres and Ryker Swenson (165; 32-6) won their respective brackets.

Endres received a first-round bye. He then pinned Kashton Stoddard of Wisconsin Dells and won by a 16-3 major decision over Ben Logan of Watertown. In the championship, Endres, ranked No. 6 in Division 2, upset Logan Mueller of Brillion, 4-1. Mueller is currently ranked No. 3 in Division 2.

Swenson, ranked No. 4 in Division 2, tallied three pins after a first-round bye.

Garrett Pauli (215; 22-10) finished second. He tallied two pins to earn a spot in the championship. There, he fell to Joe Schoeder of Cedar Grove Belgium, 6-0. Schoeder is currently ranked No. 8 in Division 3.

Loshaw, Brennan Keyes (144; 23-11) and Ashlin Mihlbauer (132; 21-13) took third in their respective weight classes.

In the girls portion of the tournament, Sugar River had two representatives in Adalyn Danz-Grass (152; 2-11) and Rosadella LaFrance (152; 3-7). The pair finished fourth and third, respectively, wrestling each other in Round 3. LaFrance pinned Danz-Grass in the second period.

DEERFIELD SCRAMBLE

DEERFIELD — Brodhead-Juda finished 12 of 18 teams at the Deerfield Invite on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Marcus McIntyre (138; 28-2) was the lone individual champion, going 5-0 with four pins.

Joe Lohmar (150; 30-2) took second, suffering his second loss of the season 3-2 to Ashton Meister of Poynette, who is ranked No. 6 in Division 3.

RIDGE & VALLEY CONFERENCE DUALS

VIOLA — Pecatonica-Argyle went 1-4 in the Ridge & Valley Conference duals on Thursday, Jan. 25. The Vikings lone win came against North Crawford-Seneca 30-24. Their losses came to Ithaca-Weston 54-17, De Soto 48-24, Kickapoo-La Farge 54-27 and River Ridge 36-24. Aidan Gruenenfelder (113), Lukas Orloff (120) and Jakob Orloff (138) went 5-0 on the day.
