Robert A. “Bob” Stauffacher, age 75, of Monroe, died on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at his home. Bob was born on April 11, 1951 in Monroe, the son of William and Bessie (Brecklin) Stauffacher. He grew up in Browntown and graduated from Monroe High School in 1969. Bob and Mary Arnsmeier were united in marriage on March 14, 1970 in Juda. Bob was employed as a truck driver for Regez Paper Supply for 43 years until retiring.

Bob (AKA “Nutter”) was a loyal husband, father, Papa, and friend. He was an avid sports enthusiast, playing softball, golfing, bowling, and shooting pool for many years. He was the oldest and longest member of the Green County Pool League. When he wasn’t participating in sports, he was cheering on the Green Bay Packers (which he was a proud owner), Brewers, and Badgers. He especially loved watching his grandson compete in various sports.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Stauffacher of Monroe; daughter, Brenda (Thomas) Salzwedel of Monroe; four grandchildren, Anna Jenson of Boscobel, Amber (Anderson) Jenson of Kalamazoo, MI, Ian (Katie) Salzwedel of Boyd, WI, Eli Salzwedel of Monroe; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Willis Schmoldt, Betty Haeft, Karl (Barbara) Arnsmeier, Bonnie Gedmin, and Lois Beld. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Arlene Fryer, Shirley Schmoldt; brother, Eugene Haeft; Mary’s parents, Raymond and Marie Arnsmeier; and brothers-in-law, Arnold Fryer and Mike Gedmin.

There will be no services held. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
