ORFORDVILLE - The Brodhead-Juda baseball team lost a nail-biter to Parkview 1-0 on Tuesday.

The Vikings limited the Cardinals (11-7, 8-4 Rock Valley South) to five hits. Brodhead-Juda senior Matt Schmitt went 2-for-3.

Schmitt also pitched six innings and gave up one earned run on four hits. He struck out three and walked two.
