Vicki Jackson Vallero passed away on May 5th, 2025. Her favorite color was blue.  She was born on August 31st, 1951, to parents Floyd Jackson and Evelyn (Bergum) Jackson and raised on an eighty-acre dairy farm with her three brothers and the help of her grandmother Ida Jackson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. She attended the Mt. Pleasant, one room schoolhouse through 4th grade then Fayette Elementary, Darlington High School and graduated in Argyle in 1969. She went on to study childcare at MATC. In the early 70’s she traveled to Colorado. In 1973 she was joined in love by her husband Dana. For the next 52 years they lived a simple and free life together, raising their daughters and enjoying their grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mom, always a country girl at heart.  She loved horses, dogs and animals. She loved country music, dancing, sewing and a good game of euchre. She loved her grandchildren dearly and often ruled with her firm Norwegian beliefs when needed to help guide them between right and wrong. Gone but not forgotten, her spirit lives on.

She is survived by her husband, Dana “Doc” Vallero; daughter, Jessica Vallero and her husband, Dominic Puglielli, granddaughters, Layla and Patsy, and grandson, Harlan, daughter, Katy and her husband, Chad Rucinski, grandson, Floyd and granddaughter, Eleanor; brothers, Teddy Jackson (LaValle, WI), Bart (Kendra) Jackson (Monroe, WI) and Karl (Amy) Jackson (Marshall, WI), many nieces and nephews.
