Timothy L. Mayer, age 66, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the New Glarus Home.  He was born on October 18, 1958 the son of Gerald and Rosetta (Baertschi) Mayer.  He attended Monticello High School.  On June 18, 1983 Tim was united in marriage to Stacey Sether. 

Tim was an ASE Master Technician for 30 years, working throughout Green County at Dearth Motors, Green Co. Towing, MasterTech, Arn’s Auto Service, Ayer’s Garage, and Alphorn Ford.  He loved fishing, being outdoors, and camping.  Tim was a Boy Scout Leader for 10 years when his kids were young. He also enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, bowling, and darts.  Tim was affectionally known as “Tinker Tim.” 

Tim is survived by his wife Stacey of Monroe; sons, Joshua Mayer of Monroe, Michael (Tara) Mayer of Monroe, and Gerald “Jerry” (Melody) Mayer of Virginia; four grandchildren, Maisie, Damian, Catherine, and Dylan; siblings, Sharon Andrews of Orangeville, IL, Kristine Squire of Oshkosh, Diane (Dewey) Curran of Nekoosa, Melanie Drake of Footville, Shelly (Jim) Stauffacher Albany; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward; sisters, Jacqueline in infancy, Marcia Gempler, and Becky Neuenschwander; and nephew, Michael Anderson. 

Per Tim’s wishes no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HDSA.org in Tim’s memory.
