Ronald “Ron” Moe, age 76, of Albany passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. He was born on August 16, 1948 the son of Clarence and Viva (Staley) Moe, Jr. He was a 1966 graduate of Brodhead High School. Ron was united in marriage to Roberta Riese on May 11, 1968 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Brodhead.
Ron proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War; where he earned the rank of Sargent and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and a high-ranking marksman. He worked at General Motors for seven years, and later farmed in rural Albany for over 30 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe and a life member of the VFW Post 6858 in Brodhead. He enjoyed collecting Farmall Tractors, having 5 in his current collection; he also had a collection of toy tractors as well. He was a proud Green Bay Packer Owner, Badger fan, and loved playing euchre.
Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years; Roberta of Albany; his son, Robert (Debra) Moe; grandchildren, Danyella (Ross) Reid and Devan all of Monroe; and a sister Barbara (Roger) Bills of Clinton, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ronald L. Moe, Jr.; and nephew, Rich Mauerman.
Funeral Services will be held at 12PM NOON on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Burial will follow service in Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, at the church, from 10AM until the time of service.
