Roger A. Stauffacher
Roger A. Stauffacher

Roger A. Stauffacher, age 83, went to glory with his Savior December 13, 2021. He was the son of Arthur H. and Ruth Stauffacher born June 21, 1938. He and Mary Ann Frautschy were married for 62 years. They have two children, Andrea (David) Byerley and Jeff (Christine) Stauffacher and one granddaughter, Rebecca (Andrew) Jablonski.

Roger and Mary Ann farmed near Monroe for 30 years and owned the Sonshine Corner Christian Bookstore in Monroe for eleven years. Roger was commissioned in the United States Army in 1960 and was proud to have served his country. He became a Christian in 1956 through reading and understanding the Gospels, was a member of the International Gideons, and a church Elder. He dearly loved Jesus, his wife of 62 years, the farm and Registered Holsteins, several hobbies and his country. He served his community in a multitude of civic, agricultural and Christian activities and also cared deeply for each of his many friends of 83 years.

His fondest desire was always that his friends would submit to and know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, the most important decision of any decision this side of physical death. His favorite verse is “once I was blind, but now I see (spiritually)”. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held in June. Per Roger’s wishes he wrote his own obituary and requested private family services at this time.

Shriner Hager Gohlke is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
