Michael E. Kahl, age 72, of Gratiot, died on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg. He was born on November 15, 1948 in Monroe, the son of Lyle and Rosie (Lisser) Kahl.

Michael graduated from South Wayne High School in 1966 and from Blackhawk Technical College as a Computer Tech.

Michael and Sally McKibben were united in marriage on July 27, 1968 in Darlington.

Mike was employed with Joseph Huber Brewery for 32 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, small engine repair, working on cars and motorcycles. He also had a fascination with scratch off lottery tickets.

He is survived by his, wife, Sally; children: Lauranna (Jim) Kahl-Placek of Bend, OR, Tina Kahl of Bruce, WI, Valerie (George) Scott of Crawfordsville, IN, and Mike Kahl of Gratiot; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; sister, Donna Phelps and a brother in infancy.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, January 1, 2021, at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE funeral home in Monroe.

Visitation will be Friday, January 1st, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, until time of service at the funeral home.
