Walk With Ease self-directed program returns

The ADRC of Green County announced the Walk With Ease Self-Directed Program, running June 22 to August 2.

This evidence-based program, developed by the Arthritis Foundation, helps participants build stamina, increase flexibility, and reduce pain — all at their own pace. Whether managing arthritis, experiencing joint stiffness, or looking for motivation to maintain a healthy walking routine, Walk With Ease provides the tools and support to help users succeed.

Program Highlights:

● Flexible Format: Walk when and where it works best for you.

● 6-Week Program: Receive a guidebook and weekly support to help keep you motivated.

● Easy to Follow: Set goals, track progress, and learn strategies for safe, enjoyable walking.

Participants Will Learn To:

● Manage arthritis pain or joint stiffness through safe, effective exercise

● Set and achieve personal walking goals

● Make walking a fun and rewarding part of daily life

● Access resources to support long-term physical activity

Program Details:

● Dates: June 22 to August 2

● Location: Self-directed — walk anytime, anywhere

● Time Commitment: At least 3 days per week for 10-40+ minutes

● Suggested Donation: $15

Pre-registration is required. There are no county or state residency requirements. Participants will need a safe place to walk, comfortable shoes, and the guidebook provided by ADRC upon registration.
